The Buttes!
Low clouds this morning and still a little snow.
It was about 3 degrees outside in Graeagle, that is at about 5000 feet elevation. The Buttes are atleast 9000 feet elevation.
We were on our way home when we saw a CHP stopped on HWY 49 turning all the traffic around because there was a shooting ahead. So we had to go the long way around through Truckee and Donner Lake. It was only 1-1/2 hours out of the way, but it was beautiful.
You can still see the snow from this angle. Absolutely beautiful.
