Suzanne is someone I have known for many years. A couple of years ago, she got breast cancer, and recovered after chemo and radiation. She called me a couple of weeks ago, and asked me to come visit in early August, alone, without Matt?!
I didn't really understand until last weekend, when another friend told me that she was going to Bali with Suzanne for a few weeks.
She also told me that Suzanne has lymphoma! OMG! All I could think about was how fast that took Cindy...I am still at a loss as to what I will say to her when I see her. How do you tell someone what they meant to you, when you know it will probably be the last time!?
My heart is broken, maybe it is because it is the same diagnosis and I know how quickly it moves. She does not know that I know yet, and she is not going to tell anyone in her family either.
That hurts too, because her family is also my family.
Please pray for her!
I am hoping that she does make it back from Bali, she is the kind of person that would go away and die. That scares me, and it makes me sad for her family. It made a real difference in my life when I was able to talk with Cindy before she passed.
Sorry for all the sadness, I just could not keep it inside any longer/.
