Not As Well As I Think

Yesterday I realized that I am not as healed as I keep thinking. Little Ruby was running all over me, I couldn't keep up, I couldn't even play with her and her toys. Picking her up was even too much. It was a rude awakening yet again for me. Luckily her owner willingly came and got her and brought her home, so she won't go to the shelter.

Both Matt and I cried it was really sad letting her go. But the reality is I have to heal myself before I can help anyone or anything else. I will be able to do it again someday in the future, I am just not strong enough yet. I have to get that through my hard head.

Yesterday's Crazy Snow Storm

 

It was amazing to see this much snow so low. We are at about 2200 feet elevation. It ended up snowing down to 1700 ft.

It is so beautiful and pure. Thank goodness it will melt today. I had enough snow when I lived in Graeagle, so it was cool to see, but nice that it will melt soon.

Snow Day

 

This morning we took my normal walk, half way until it started to rain. We walked briskly back getting wet.

Then went to town to the store, and it started dumping snow. When we got home it was doing the same here. The flakes were quarter size.

Looks like Matt will be working in the garage today.

It sure is pretty. You usually do not see snow on Palms...

Time To Go See Jason

I asked my cardiologist if I could go down south to see Jason. He told me that because of the circumstances, he agreed.

Matt has Sunday through Wednesday off, so he can drive me. I cannot fly yet, the heart thing you know! So driving ought to be interesting.

I can lay my seat down with a foam pad on it, for as much comfort as I can get, and we will have to stop every so often so I can walk around. So I think it will be just fine. Quick trip, but atleast I will be able to see Jason while he is only as sick as he is.

I know this is going to be as hard as going to see Cin the last time, but if something happened and I did not get a chance to see him, I would not forgive myself. So a little suffering on my part isn't anything compared to what he is going through.

Our Day Trip To Reno

 

 

We decided to take a day trip to Reno to go to the Atlantis Casino. They have the best buffet at Toucan Charlies in town. It was about an hour and a half drive so it wasn't too bad on my ribs. The food was fantastic as you can see, they have everything and anything you can think of. You can see I had Mexican, Chinese, Salad, and of course the desert bar.

It was a beautiful drive there, Donner Summit was full of snow.

It was an early Valentine's Day Celebration.

Super nice to get out of the house.
