Fall, Split, Stack, Burn, and Empty

It is amazing how many times you actually touch wood: You fall the trees, you load it on the truck. You throw it off the truck, you split it, then you stack it, then you burn it, and finally you empty the ashes from it. WOW, seems like a lot of work doesn't it? But it sure saves on the heating bill. Our heater is set a 60 degrees, and it never comes on, so it is alot cheaper to burn. It took a few hours for Matt to split the wood, and for me to stack it, but by dark we were done. I believe we have about a cord and a half here. That should last us awhile. It has been about 50-60 degrees in the daytime, so not much need to burn too much yet, mostly at night and early morning.

Our kindling box is full of cedar, we have huge 'oak all nighters', there is some cherry wood, and tons more cedar and oak.
We also managed to have a few loads to sell.
