The Bedroom Deck

 

Matt put some climbing flowers on our deck, they should go up and all around the deck.

It will make a nice place to hang out.

Fishing Derby

Today was the Annual Fishing Derby at the Fairgrounds, James and Connor came up this morning at 6:30. Registration was at 7:00. It was a kid's derby. Grampa Matt was so excited about taking his grandson fishing, he couldn't sleep.

I think Grampa enjoyed it as much as Connor!

Heard some rustling around this morning, they were all snoozing under the deck until I came outside.

Japanese Maples

Matt brought these three new maples home for me yesterday. Don't they look beautiful next to the  green Jap Maple? The Red Lace Leaf is really rare, so is the Fire Red and the Peach Dream. It is amazing to me how different each tree's leaf structure is. They are so delicately different.

They look really pretty all together on our front deck.

 

Saturday

Listening to the birds tweet tweet this morning, they sound so happy. It makes you believe all is right with the world. Even tho it isn't.

Jay is back in the hospital getting blood again, some of the cancer has come back in his head. Gary said he looks pretty good though.

Just keep praying for him, that's about all we can do for him. I talked with him for about an hour the other day and he is trying so hard to keep positive. So do I!

April 10th is Grant's 38th Birthday. Holy moly it was that long ago my life took a drastic turn!

We talk once a week usually and are getting to know each other.

It's all good.

Saturday Night

 

We are going over to Tom's and several friends are in town to see the Deadbeats tonight.

We are going to have dinner together and then go see the show.

It has been since November since I 've been able to go to one of their gigs.

Can't wait for the music, don't know about dancing tonight!?
