December 23

Today can be such a sad day for me, but this year I am trying
to look at it differently:
Cindy got an early Christmas present in June, when Jason
joined her in Heaven!

Crystal has Connor call and sing Rudolph to me this morning,
It's kind of hard to cry when your grandbaby is
singing to you!

Christmas Cookies

The First time the boys and I decorated cookies together!
What a treat!

Connor got bored quickly when he realized he didn't get to
eat each one he frosted.

They went to see Santa, Connor loved it!

Having fun with crafting...

Then Santa talked to Grady, he did not like it at ALL!

My adorable boys!

The Hams

The first tree Connor climbed 'by himself'. He was super proud and
silly. Grady was trying!
The girls and I did cookies yesterday, so they all came to our house and
as the girls and I baked and packed, Grampa and dad watched the boys.
It was super fun. Heather spent Saturday night,
so we got to spend some fun time together too!

Our Compromise

Matt and I compromised on how many decorations we were going to put up this year.
He wanted it all, and I wanted simple, so we have
'eccentric simple'.
It's cool! I hope you enjoy the commentary that goes with the video.
Matt makes me laugh everyday.
That is a really great thing!
I have tried to take pictures, but they do not come out as well as videoing,
so that is what I did...

Bear with me trying to 360 the camera. He did a great job for
'minimal'!

Let It Snow

From morning till night, snow, snow, snow. Woke up to a frozen pipe
out back and no water. Matt fixed it right away, so water is back on.
It is 20 degrees still.
Yes Brrrrr!

Kirby The Elf and The Boys

What a great Xmas picture!

Kirby's first arrival brought the kids a note and ornaments.

The next day the kids found him here...Crystal calls it "Elf Graffiti".
Such a cute idea.
This day he was on the counter fishing.

This is adorable, she cut out 'crackle' and put Kirby in instead.
I love it.

I am so proud of Crystal for taking on my tradition of making Christmas special!
She takes it to a whole other level of what I could.
The kids wake up every morning to look for Kirby.

Last year I was there recovering and was able to see them search each day,
and it was a special gift for me to see! Something I will never forget.
Thanks Swices!

Lights In The Snow

We walked up last night to see the lights when it started to snow.
It was beautiful!

Family Fun

Grady and I

Heather sure looks good, doesn't she?

Crystal managed to set the time and get all of us!
Good job honey!

We have been waiting for the 'cukoo bird' to come out for ten minutes, since
all the adults keep forgetting to get them there on the hour when
it comes out. They loved it!
Family Fun.

366 Days

I have made it 366 days. I am still weak but a whole lot
better than this day last year.
It was a year ago today I had surgery and lived
to tell about it!
Thank you God!

Our Thanksgiving Dinner

Crystal, Missy, Connor, and Braxton, Missy's son.

Crystal taking picture of Grady, and Missy Jarrod's
girlfriend.

James and Jarrod serving up.

My plate, Crystal taking picture of me, Missy,
and Connor.

Heather and Matt ready to eat.

The Day Before Thanksgiving

Boys watching cartoons together.

Grady put his own puzzle together.

"I did it!"

"I tired, want your little pillow Mimi."

Ready to go outside with brother's water bottle in mouth
because he knows it will make Connor mad.
It was so much fun.

Tuesday

Today I'm getting ready for the kids to come over tomorrow. Making sure the bedrooms are together
start prepping food.I'm gonna make my own cranberry sauce today so by Thursday
it will be perfect. Both Matt and I are looking forward to seeing our kids and
