Update Grant

I also have been contacted by the son, Grant, I gave up at birth. We have had a couple little conversations through email and texting, and will probably talk soon on the telephone.
This is a picture of him now. He is 38 now, and has an 18 year old daughter,an 8 year old son, and one on the way. He still lives in Ohio.
We chatted on the phone a couple of days ago, it went well, we will continue to talk with each other.

Changing

I have had a couple of hard weeks, I am finally starting to feel back to some kind of normal.
My deposition was awful, I was grilled for hours from the attorney for the old man's estate. The daughter was there to ask anything she wanted to through this attorney. She has been waiting for this for years. Because of the way her father was she never knew anything that was going on in the business, and that always made her extremely mad at me. For me it was a job, but for her different. I understand that, and hopefully they will not call me to testify in court in February. I am hoping and praying that this is done with.
I had some kind of 'attack' on Saturday night before I left mom's to come home. It lasted a week with my heartbeat out of its normal beat. I have been so frightened. I have never had high blood pressure, but am pretty sure that is what happened with an anxiety attack. Never experienced anything like that. Hopefully I will never experience that again.

Going South

Tomorrow, Tuesday, I am going south for the deposition I was subpoenaed for. I am so nervous  I cannot sleep or eat very well. I will be glad when this is over after next Friday.
I am going a little early so I can visit with mom and dad, I have not been down south since last March. Boy time flies fast.
Faith is my montra. Hopefully I can continue to remember to breathe!
I will post next probably when I get back on Saturday. I will take some pictures while I am down there and post when I get back.
Wish me luck!

Wood Duty

I was about 1/2 way done here. We had two cords of Almond and Blue Oak delivered on Tuesday. So yesterday I stacked wood along side the house, trying to get done before the rain and snow today.
It took me 5 and 1/2 hours to stack this really dense wood, sometimes I could only lift one piece at a time.
Boy, am I paying for it today, my back feels like jello! Ouch.
Matt works too much, so I knew I had to deal.

This is when I was 1/2 way stacked. Of course it was like 80 degrees outside the entire time. And this morning it is 40 degrees and the wind is howling, I believe the rain is on the way soon.
I have a couple errands to run, so I am doing that early this am.
And the wood duty begins, stacking, burning, cleaning, etc.

Babysitting Grady

I watched Grady on Sunday while James, Crystal, and Connor went to a wedding in Santa Cruz.

Connor took the first three pictures...I took this one before they left. Connor is doing pretty good taking pictures.
Babysitting Grady, one year old, made me feel really old...He is teething, and he was tired, and missed mommy. All the time I get to spend with each of the grandbabies is quality time, even if it is also meltdown time. I love them so much!

Dancing

We went out Saturday night to a local saloon to see our friends, the deadbeats, play.
We danced all night from 9:00 to 1:00 am. It has been a long time since we have danced that much for that long. Every song was dance music, those are the best shows.
Certainly was able to get my ya ya's out!
A great time!

Halloween At The Swice's

How precious is this?

Sweet!

The only thing I can really say is OMG! They are such a cute family:
The fisherman, the mermaid, the shark, and nemo!

Trees

The trees are changing colors super fast now, as it is cooling at night. I thought I would show you what I saw running my errands yesterday.
Pretty colorful!

Yesterday

The sky yesterday morning was definately a Halloween sky. Check it out the moon was still out and the sun was coming up through the clouds.
It was kind of spooky lookin.

The turkeys took over the yard yesterday afternoon. They were playing in the 'mushroom compost' Matt just unloaded for the garden.
Pretty stinky, they were loving it, gobbling and all for about an hour.
You've got to love nature!
