OLE'
Today we received the Grant Deed in the Mail. Tomorrow the four of us will be headed to the Notary. In a few days we will be property owners in El Dorado County. Finally, the dream is really coming true. Excuse my video, just wanted to say "HI" to my baby Connor. Love you guys, write tomorrow. I will post a picture of our celebration tomorrow after the signing. We are going to go to Don Jose' for brunch. OLE'

I am still trying to figure out the video uploading, so if it doesn't work, know that I am still working on it.
Busy, Busy, Busy
I have been so busy the last several days, sorry to all waiting to see or hear from me. Let's see, escrow closes on the property on May 7, 2010. One, thing done. There has been so much paperwork to do for it to close so quickly. Pages upon pages of documents coming from the realtor, the escrow company. So we have signed and dotted all papers, and now all we have to do is send the money. Yeah right, 'all'. In the meantime Matt has been working diligently in San Diego, usually 12 - 14 hour days. But when the work is there, that's all you can do. The paperwork that goes along with the company that we are doing work for is crazy too! Between the property and the work, the paperwork amazes me. Well, paperwork from the property, but all the work documents are done online. So, needless to say, I have been learning as I am doing. I have learned that I am not as proficient on the computer as I once thought. Live and Learn, I always say. Ok, so the homefront...we got a call from one sibling, that got information to give to another sibling, then I got a 'nice' text message. Which for the first time in my life, 'I DID NOT RESPOND TO'. So as for that situation, nothing has changed. So so sad. It is super hard to keep mom 'SMILING'.

Happy Days are Here Again...
It used to be a very quiet country setting at Heaven's Gate. Now there are so many homes and people. Every day they get closer and closer to us. It does not seem like we are out in the country anymore. Why just the other day, we had Alpacas' move into the neighborhood...WOW...We need a new adventure.

IT'S Back
All the time and frustration that this guy went through. We can only think, he was either afraid. Or, someone gave the containers a 'reprieve of the leave'. We have no idea what is going on...or do we?
It's On, And He's On His Way
Doorbell Ringing at 6:30 am because...
The ringing was because there was a truck driver coming to pick up the two storage containers down the hill from the house. The driver wanted a key to get into them. We do not have a key, so I apologized. In these storage containers, are tons, and I do mean literally TONS of heavy equipment, engines, all kinds of stuff. The driver told me he was going to haul them away anyways...So for 2 hours he jiggled the first one around, over, under, next to, and every which way while he was trying to get it on the flat bed of the diesel he was driving. He must have walked around that truck and trailer at least 75 times trying to get this OVER PACKED AND HEAVY container on. It was incredible I had to take pictures...
Stormy Weather...
It rained all night on Tuesday. It was wet and cold, it was the kind of morning where you just want to crawl back into your bed...So I did just that. I was watching a spooky movie, like I do in the mornings (because I cannot watch them at night) and the doorbell rang. At 6:30 am.

It's Friday

This has been a very busy week. Matt has been bidding on landscape projects down in San Diego. They finally panned out. We already got 3 jobs, 1 bidded, and 3 more to go, so far. This will be a great way to make some money to move. Matt was able to put my nephews Jason and Aaron to work as well. On another note, the property is now in escrow and we are all anxious to get going on that project. Looks like we will be in Kelsey (Nor Cal) for Xmas if not before. Mom and dad are really anxious too, dad is finally as happy as we are to move. So Cal has changed so much since we were kids, that it is next to impossible to make a living, and even harder to drive in. Goodbye City, hello Ruralness, openness, and lots of nature. The best part of this move will be that Crystal and Heather will be close to us. We will get to watch our grandson grow up, and Connor will be able to be close to his GGs. (Great-Grandparents, that is)

The Waiting is Over !!
We finally got the call tonight. The offer has been accepted. Yeah, Gold Hills here we come. Back to the trees. This is the first step in many that will make our dream come true. The one where we live somewhere other than So Cal. Its been hard and we are ready for the next step. The best thing about it is that all 4 of us, 2 dogs, and 2 cats, are all going together. Brand new land, never been built on, never lived on, never anything. But it has been waiting for us. So far this week we have had goodness from God in every direction, and it just goes to show PCT. (Prayer Changes Things) This is a statement that my daughter Crystal used to say all the time when she was young. Now she has seen it work...1st hand. Love to all!

Still Waiting...
Here we are it is Monday, and we are still waiting to hear about the property. We did hear from our realtor saying that she 'thought' we 'might' hear tonight. We hope so. The sellers are not in town so it is taking much longer than we want. Patience is a virtue that I obviously do not have much of.

Waiting For...

It has been a great weekend. Yesterday we had a BBQ with the neighbors, Norm and Carol. Good food, we all had fun. The term 'waiting for' is a term that is used alot in this household. My folks' computer is still running on dial-up. I, on the other hand, have broadband. When I want to get online, it is practicly immediate. Not so for 'dial-up'. When dad wants online, his computer always says 'waiting for'... This weekend the term 'waiting for'... for us, is the fact that we are still 'WAITING FOR'... the realtor to call about our offer for the property we want to purchase. We are over 'Waiting for'...HOPEFULLY, TOMORROW THE WAIT WILL BE OVER!
